Carter has read everything Geoff Johns has published over the last couple of years.
Carter loves the Blue Lanterns. He loves that they stand for Hope.
Carter stood up in front of ~400 people at the Emerald City Comic Con Green Lantern Panel, dressed as a Blue Lantern and asked Geoff Johns an intricate, well thought out plot question. Geoff answered the question like he was talking to a adult, he didn’t speak down to the 12 year old kid in tights and a mask.
After the panel Carter walked up to Johns and told him how much he loves all of Geoff’s books. Geoff thanked him and told Carter his question was great.
I piped in and let Geoff know that I have been a Marvel fan since childhood and Carter’s love of DC is causing some friction. Geoff smiled, pulled a big Metal Green Lantern ring off his finger, looked down at Carter and said “Welcome to the Corp!” Geoff Johns gave Carter his own Green Lantern ring!
